Samarinda has been providing services to the Community for over 60 years.
Our 92 bed residential facility was rebuilt in 2018 and has a 15 bed memory support unit for people living with dementia who have more complex requirements.
All rooms are single rooms with ensuites and there are many shared, private and outdoor spaces for individuals and families to relax.
We pride ourselves on getting to know our residents and families and understanding what is important ‘to the individual’ and ‘for the individual’. Our services and supports are tailored to meet the needs of those who live at Samarinda.
We have a team of highly skilled Nursing and Care staff who are dedicated to providing high quality and safe care and supports.
Our lifestyle team encourage residents to become involved by pursuing activities that they find engaging and the team also arrange regular outings to parks or the beach. We regularly have performers come in to entertain the residents, particularly on special occasions.
Samarinda’s Chef and catering team pride themselves on the quality and variety of foods that they serve. We try and cater for all tastes throughout the year. We have a seasonal menu and our Chef involves the residents in the setting of the menu. Family members are welcome to come and join your loved one for lunch and a glass of wine.
Our service has recently been audited in July 2023 by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and have successfully been reaccredited for another 3 years.
All of this comes with no hidden costs. Unlike many other residential aged care providers, Samarinda does not charge for any additional services. What you see is what you get.
